99 Red Balloons

Just before Christmas, I managed to convince 2 friends to go with me to a pop-up, interactive art exhibit without them knowing anything about it.  We had to wake up early and wait in the cold for an hour but all of our doubts subsided as soon as we walked in and saw a room filled with large, red balloons.  There weren’t any instructions but the message was clear – “be a kid again.”  We ran and crawled and laughed.  We threw balloons at each other and took photos, including my favourite one of a girl with thin hair that splayed out like a plasma globe.  As we parted in high spirits, we all agreed that this installation certainly did pop.
